The Observer: 'Scream' movies are blamed by teenage girl's copycat killer.

A 24 year old in the small Belgian town of Gerpinnes killed a 15 year old girl who refused his advances, by slipping into his scream costume and viciously stabbing her with kitchen knives. He says he was ‘inspired by the trilogy’.

Ah well an account will stop them from abusing the system. This one is wide-open to it. I’ll see how it goes… I can still censor them
cheers!
Good stuff. I’ve found that requiring accounts, passwords and such is overkill for something as trivial as blog comments, and too much hassle.
However, having a good CGI interface for seeing all recent comments and being able to delete spam is a Good Thing.
My interface is pretty prehistoric right now (as in, do it manually) but I will build one. (remind me in a year when I’m still saying that, although I finally did make that light version for older browsers)
And there was supposed to be a smiley next to my censor comment above: :-)
there.

Thanks, I’ll take a look. The problem is I paid for a year of hosting in advance. Everything was great there previously, it’s just been going downhill recently. I see prolific.org is complaining too.
cheers,
Colin

Congrats on the comments system!
We made the mistake of putting an account system on ours and it seems to put people off posting. Maybe scared of spam or something. Anyway, much prefer the way you’ve laid yours out :)
Here’s hoping you get loads of feedback..
