Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting Mozilla 1.0!

I’m reading this with my 1.0-RC3 so i’ll rush now for the upgrade everybody has been waiting for too long!
btw, has anybody managed to install mozilla system-wide on a UN*X system?
After the untar in /usr/local/mozilla I ran the script hidd… hum… provided in the release notes before executing mozilla but i still run into a segfault when i run it with another user as root, any tip is welcome… this bug pisses me off since an uncountable number of release… and it’s actually quite a shame that the 1.0 can’t install seamlessly as a multiuser application on a multiuser system… :(
mmm, you better post a message on the mozilla newsgroups or try the IRC client and go to chatzilla and ask there. btw: what unix platform do you use?
Take a look: Le Soir http://www.lesoir.be/) was already flaky under IE for Mac but under Mozilla, it’s a nightmare. So much for standards, the only standard for some designers is IE for Windows.
*rant over*
you could say, the whole site is a nightmare :)
KmD : I’m runing SuSE Linux on this box. All the mozilla geeks I know installed it in their ~ to avoid the problem but as mine is located on an NFS volume, I don’t think it’s a pretty good idea… ;) I’ll go and browse the groups archive but I already googled without success…
And about lesoir.be, I gave up reading this site for a while, I don’t know who’s _guilty_ for such a mess but I think that they managed to get the most unusable newspaper site on the web.
Xavier: maybe try chatzilla (IRC) and ask there. some time ago, somebody helped me solving a nasty problem. good luck.
I think netit.be built lesoir.be originally.

jeeeehhhhaaaaaaaa!!!
Try it out! Mozilla is very stable, supports many platforms and has all the (cool) features you need for browsing and reading email.
One very nice feature is the possibility to restrict some javascript code (unrequested windows, altering taskbar text, altering the size of the window, etc...) Only for this I would use mozilla.
mozilla should be considered as a very decent replacement for that nasty IE :)
